Moreover, PE INTERNATIONAL offers two leading software solutions, with the GaBi software for product sustainability and the SoFi software for corporate sustainability. Our consulting achievements stand out particularly due to our technical subject-specific competence as well as our methodical knowledge. For more than ten years, our company has provided numerous branches with extensive know-how for all relevant processes and materials. Our work includes consulting with the suppliers along the added value chain.

Services The starting point of the services offered by PE INTERNATIONAL was to perform Life Cycle Analyses for the quantification of environmental impacts of products and processes. PE INTERNATIONAL has enhanced its service fields step-by-step in order to integrate the ecological parameters into the decision-making process, which is dominated by technical and economical aspects (Life Cycle Engineering). By new developments, PE INTERNATIONAL takes account of the permanently increasing requirements of our clients, and meanwhile it offers a large variety of other services (i.e. Benchmarking, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Energy-Efficiency Analysis, Sustainability Management, Material-Flow-Management and Environment Risk Management, Waste Disposal Assessment, Greenhouse Gas Accounting, Integrated Product Policy, etc.). PE INTERNATIONAL supports its clients by means of services, tools, databases, and individually tailored solutions to improve their installations, processes, services and products towards sustainability. Our target is to offer extensive solutions from one hand, to support our clients in the conflict between economical, ecological and technical challenges to successful solutions.

Solutions

For more than 12 years, PE INTERNATIONAL, partly in cooperation with its partner IKP from the University of Stuttgart (today LBP)  develops software for quantitative analysis and assessment of the sustainability of industrial activities and services.

These software products mark an essential part of PE INTERNATIONAL's consulting activities. Furthermore PE Europe offers the software to clients who use these tools intensively and successfully for company-internal affairs. Whereas our standard software GaBi is already in its fourth generation, the sustainability software SoFi has been made available on the market since the end of 2003. In addition PE offers specially developed and individually tailored tools for the fields Design for Environment (DfE) and Design for Recycling (DfR). By the development of the various software products, the need to build up extensive databases arose. PE INTERNATIONAL also offers these databases to its clients. The different software solutions cover those service fields, which are displayed in the chart.

FEATURED SOFTWARE

SoFi The software SoFi (software for sustainability reporting of financial service providers) was developed by PE INTERNATIONAL in a multi client project, together with four banks/saving banks and one insurance. The project was supported by the Association for Environmental Management in Banks, Savings Banks and Insurance Companies (VfU). GaBi 4 The software system for analysis and evaluation of life cycle relevant questions.
