History
Environnement S.A was established by Mr François GOURDON, former engineer for the Ministry of Environment. He was responsible for the development of a new generation of ambient air analysers based on optical techniques. These analysers were used for in-situ real-time measurements, whereby traditional techniques were based on the use of physical & chemical testing which required manual laboratory analysis.
Since its foundation, the Company has grown substantially, due to a sustained effort in Research & Development and a series of successful acquisitions in the fields of air, water and gas emission monitoring.
In 1988, Environnement S.A launched its very first range of microprocessor-based digital analysers.
The strategic development of Environnement S.A has delivered its rewards tenfold:
- 1988 : 1st strategy prize awarded by Prime Minister Michel Rocard
- 1992 : EURO-PME award, Crédit Lyonnais, Expansion.
- 1993 : Export Oscar, best international vocation award.
- 1994 : Export Golden Mercury (Chamber of Commerce).
