This article provides an overview of an installation of AquaGate+Organoclay material to reduce sheens at a historic MGP site.  AquaGate+Organoclay provides the abiltiy to place a powder organoclay through the water, in direct contact with contaminants in sediment.  Organoclay is a well known and documented material used in the oil & gas industry for adsorption of hydrocarbon-based contaminants from water.  After adsorption, contaminants are non-bioavailable and the organoclay will not release the contaminants.
