In this paper we discuss a unique process technology called the V-tex scrubber. Its design makes it particularly suitable for a wide range of
scrubbing and stripping applications, where it can deliver economic and technical advantages for the operator versus conventional
packed tower or
tray scrubbers, venturi and
fluidized bed scrubbers.
In cases where there are both particulate and gaseous contaminations present, or when the contamination reacts to form a glutinous by-product or slurry, there can be challenging design issues for the
scrubbing or stripping systems in terms of reliability and performance.
V-tex
scrubbing, with its unique vortex process flow design and extraordinary non-clogging opposed jet nozzle, not only overcomes many of the reliability issues of traditional scrubbers but also allows highly efficient process intensification.
