Pyrotechnics And The VEXDAM Man

A computer program has been evaluated for calculating the effects of ignition of explosives, propellants or pyrotechnic compositions on structures or people. The program is called Vapor Cloud Explosion Damage Assessment Model and it now includes the “VEXDAM Man”. The program has the capability to model an unlimited number of structures, each with different dimensions and structural properties, including elevated structures and also an unlimited number of personnel. Using this program, with proper input of parameters, allows computation of overpressure and impulse (from detonations) and computes damage.
