Section of Environmental Engineering is responsible for research and studies within environmental engineering. The aim of this is to protect and conserve health, resources and nature. Physical, chemical and biological processes in nature are the focus of study as well as technical devices for environmental protection. Section of Environmental engineering has a scientific staff of 20 persons as well as 10 Ph.D. students and 10 technicians. The external funding comprises around 2 mill. Euro per year, coming from EU, The Environmental Protection Agency, The Danish Research Council and different private firms. There is a high publication rate at the section both in popular form and in reviewed journals.
