The AFC Advantage
Oilfield
The oilfield is the most standard form of application for AFC liquid storage tanks. Tanks used in this field are typically referred to as ‘frac’ tanks, the 500 barrel Frac Master being the industry benchmark. ‘Frac’ is an abbreviation for fractionation, a term that refers to an actions which occur when bringing a new well online or reworking an existing well to stimulate existing production. When an oil or gas reservoir is fractured it is injected with frac sand and brine water which are stored in frac tank. This allows oil or gas to flow into the well bore. AFC tanks can also be used to store crude, potable water, waste water, fuels, and chemicals needed on such sites. In order to provide larger volumes tanks can be connected to each other with 8” hoses for different jobs.

AFC also has the ability to build specialized 'frac' tanks needed for different applications. Examples of these tanks are:
Environmental
The use of AFC tanks to contain fluid is one of the fastest growing needs for companies operating in sensitive environmental areas. Even in non-sensitive areas fluid containment and processing is becoming the norm. Some of these applications are listed below:
AFC equipment used in environmental applications includes:
Waste Management
Containment, storage, separation and transportation of solid and liquid waste products is yet another application which AFC tanks could be utilized in. To make it possible to properly and easily dispose of different waste products, the ‘weir-walled’ tank separates liquids from solids as they are pumped into the tank. The weir tank comes in many forms which are designed to fit specifications for controlling the respective elements. Standard features of these types of tanks include ‘closed’ flip-lid system to short-walled open-top designs. Further examples of these include:

Construction & Mining
In the construction and the mining of quarries dealing with rock, gravel, sand and others solids, also including liquids, AFC provides storage tanks to separate and handle these different elements. Of their variety of uses some of them include storage of chemicals, portable water, and motor fuels needed in these projects. AFC utilizes a smooth and double wall design which meets the environmental standards required for these jobs. Some applicable applications are listed below:
