AMANDUS KAHL Hamburg is a medium-sized family-owned company managed by its proprietors and was founded in 1876 as a manufacturer of mills and pelleting presses.

For decades AMANDUS KAHL pelleting plants have played an integral part in mechanical process engineering. The development of new technologies in the fields of renewable energies as well as the disposal and recycling sector has been of utmost concern for our company for many years. The challenge to find technically intelligent, practical solutions for the environmental protection turned biomass processing and product recycling into a main focus of our daily commitment.

KAHL is one of the leading manufacturers of turn-key plants for conditioning biomass, wood, straw, waste tyres, sewage sludge, plastics scrap as well as domestic and industrial waste. We support our customers in more than 30 countries, e.g. in processing of Empty Fruit Bunches in Malaysia. In the United Arab Emirates we are commissioning at present the largest waste tyre recycling plant supplied by us so far with a capacity of 60,000 t/a. And to our Australian customer, we supply altogether 13 wood pelleting plants with a total capacity of 1.6 million t/a

Our experimental department is responsible for the development of new processes and machines. It is provided with an extensive pilot plant with laboratory, production machines, and measuring equipment for the most important process stages of the conditioning technology. The plant is available to prospective buyers and customers who want to have their own products tested. On the basis of the results achieved plant designs and offers can be prepared.
