Applied Technologies, Inc. has over 38 years experience in the design, development, and manufacturing of high quality environmental monitoring equipment. The company is a leading manufacturer and supplier of scientific meteorological instrumentation, software, weather instruments and weather systems, predominantly used by organizations with a discipline in meteorological or atmospheric research. These are generally government agencies and universities. Applications include environmental monitoring systems, meteorological instrumentation, data acquisition systems and specialized sensor design, as well as general data collection, storage, processing and telemetry.

About Us

Applied Technologies, Inc. has been designing and manufacturing quality meteorological instruments and weather systems for over 38 years. Located in Longmont, Colorado, Applied Technologies, Inc. is a leader in the weather instrumentation industry with our meteorological instruments. We design and manufacture the only true orthogonal Ultrasonic Anemometers, Data Collection Systems, Flux Measurement Systems, Portable Weather Stations, and much more. Our Ultrasonic Anemometer line has many probe styles designed for different environmental conditions. Ours is the only true, orthogonal ultrasonic anemometer.

Some of our meteorological instruments include: 2 axis, 2d Ultrasonic Anemometers for commercial use, 3-axis, 3d Ultrasonic Anemometers for scientific use, data collection and data synchronization via the DataPacker, data processing of weather information with our FluxPack and FluxSoft flux measurement systems, custom built T/R modules, the Astro timer - a GPS based timer with extreme accuracy and Process timers which can utilize an infrared finish line. Our Research and Development department can also do custom design work should you need an instrument or system that, perhaps, hasn't been developed yet. We work with our customers in the development of meteorological instruments and systems that meet your exact requirements.

Our Products:

  • Sonic Anemometers
  • Data Loggers
  • Flux Measurement Software
  • Meteorological Sensor Systems

ATI - SPAS/2Y - Commercial Anemometer System

The 'SPAS/2Y' style Ultrasonic Anemometer is a 2 axis, 2d, 15 cm, commercial Ultrasonic Anemometer. This sensor offers high quality performance in an inexpensive package. The electronics are contained within the probe and a single cable connects it to your PC. This sensor can provide nearly the accuracy and resolution of the scientific Ultrasonic Anemometer, but it is designed to meet the needs of commercial users, and is priced in a range that is ...

FluxPak - Complete Flux Measurement System

The FluxPack System - FluxPak is a complete flux measurement package that uses the eddy covariance method and provides for the measurement of fluxes, such as sensible heat flux, momentum flux, and latent heat flux. The basic system comes with an ultrasonic anemometer, a computer and the FluxSoft software package. The basic system will provide momentum and sensible heat flux and with a hygrometer added, H2O and latent heat flux can also be made ...

FEATURED SERVICES

Custom Designs Services

The company has many years of experience in the meteorological instrumentation field and would be happy to help you design and build a weather system to custom fit your particular needs. If you are in need of a special configuration of ultrasonic anemometer, or need something designed for your specific application, we would like to hear from you.

FEATURED SOFTWARE

FluxSoft - Flux Measurement System (FMS) Software Package

The Flux Measurement System, (FMS) Software Package - 'FluxSoft' - produces estimates of momentum flux, sensible heat flux, and latent heat flux by applying the Eddy Covariance Method to measurements of atmospheric conditions. The minimum configuration of a flux measurement system requires an Ultrasonic Anemometer/ Thermometer. For an eddy covariance system, the DataPacker or DataLogger can also be used to combine various analog outputs with the sonic ...
