Arch Chemicals is Now Part of Lonza!
We are pleased to report that Lonza Group Ltd, a leading supplier to the global life sciences, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries headquartered in Basel, Switzerland has completed the acquisition of Arch Chemicals, Inc.

Arch is now part of Lonza. The combination of both companies' operations has created the world's largest Microbial Control business: Lonza Microbial Control.

Today, we can offer our customers a broad range of active ingredients, backed by our unmatched formulation expertise. This broadened portfolio, our global footprint and our regulatory compliance capabilities, will enable us to tailor our products -- or develop new ones. We have committed to significantly increase investments in research, development and applications development in all regions over the next months and years.

The acquisition of Arch, which has a strong presence in fast-growing emerging markets such as Brazil, China, South Africa and India in addition to developed nations, gives Lonza Microbial Control a greatly expanded global footprint. This enables us to provide customers with global solutions and local service in virtually every corner of the globe. The expanded Microbial Control business will also enhance Lonza's leading life science platform and offer attractive value creation for Lonza shareholders.

During the early stages of the integration process, Arch customers and suppliers should continue to conduct business as usual through their existing contacts and channels.
