Today, Atlas produces over 36,000 tons of recycled tissue products per year and converts approximately three million cases of Eco-friendly towels and tissue for use in the Away From Home and Retail Marketplace.

Today, all products produced by Atlas are:

• Made from 100% Recycled Wastepaper
• Composed of more than 20% Post-Consumer

Atlas Paper Mills can trace its roots as a pioneering paper manufacturer of 100% recycled, environmentally preferable tissue products to the early 1980's well before the Green and Sustainability trends became so significant.

The fact is, over our nearly three decades in existence, Atlas has never cut down a single tree to make paper.  Very few other companies, if any, can make that statement.

Our dedication to recycling dates back to our very beginning when our founder, Remberto Bastanzuri, took a part-time job as a machine operator at a paper mill in Cuba.  Soon he was named technical director of the island?s paper mills, and oversaw production of paper from a combination of sugar cane bagasse and, for largely economic reasons, recycled waste paper.

Who knew he was in the forefront of a revolution!

Soon after arriving in Miami in 1979, Remberto started Atlas Paper Mills, bringing with him everything he had learned about recycling.

Today, Atlas is recognized as a technology leader in the industry and is committed to elevating our environmental stewardship to new heights.
