To consolidate its technology leadership and to assure and expand the technical superiority of machinery sustainably and to respond to new market demands, Binder+Co relies on continual innovation and product (further) development.
In this regard Binder+Co is in close contact with universities, such as the Mining University of Leoben and the University of Graz, as well as with specialised technical research institutes. The company thus cultivates fruitful collaborations – for example with the Karlsruhe-based Frauenhofer Institute. These research co-operations are crucial for the sustainable success of Binder+Co since they enable the results of basic research to be directly implemented in applicable machinery.
The company measures quality and especially market success by using the so-called innovation rate. This key data corresponds to the share of all new orders generated through Binder+Co’s own products brought onto the market as new within the last three years. In 2007 the innovation rate was an impressive 30% and it is aimed to maintain it at a level of 20 to 25% in the coming business years.
High Demands – Proven Many Times Over
Understanding ISO quality
Quality at Binder+Co is of course written in block capitals – since perfection in design and technical concept is only really set off by perfect implementation and customer care. The enterprise is aware that the quality of its achievements is crucial and that only the market decides success and thus the continuity of jobs in the company. It is this realisation that serves as the driving force towards independent achievement and initiative.
This commitment also finds expression in the successful ISO certification (EN ISO 9001:2000) of the whole management system of Binder+Co AG in the fields of processing technology, environmental technology, packaging technology, after sales service and job-order production.
The high quality requirement of Binder+Co extends throughout all the areas of the enterprise. It applies to the choice and training of staff as equally as it does to the acquisition of materials with which the high-grade products are made, as well as to all processes within the company.
In customer contact, keeping to schedules as well as expert and friendly technical consulting form the basis for a reliable and trustworthy co-operation and thus the foundation for Binder+Co’s successful business activities.

Binder+Co pursues a well-defined growth strategy. Starting from its strong position as a technology and market leader in important product areas and markets, the company relies in particular on four pillars of growth:
Our Path: First Class Performance and Clear Focus
Product Leadership – Growth through innovation and product development
An optimised product portfolio offering module-based, tailor-made customer solutions safeguards the strong market position of Binder+Co as technology leader.
Market Reach – Growth through focused market cultivation
Binder+Co safeguards its world-wide access to markets through its professional sales team. Growth potentials are being raised by a concerted expansion in Eastern Europe and by increased activities in the fields of recycling and minerals.
Operational Excellence – Growth through optimisation of processes
The safeguarding and passing on of specialist knowledge plays a very important role for Binder+Co as a systems provider and process consultant. Next to knowledge management and a solid human resources development, optimising internal processes forms the basis for sustainable operational growth.
Growth through acquisitions
Binder+Co endeavours to supplement product programmes and broaden and complete the sales network by means of strategic growth through targeted acquisitions.

Special Screen BIVITECBIVITEC - There is a growing demand in recycling technology to classify raw and recycling materials which poses an insurmountable challenge to most conventional screens. |

KSP - Glass Sorting SystemIn the past years, the standards set by the glass industry have grown increasingly challenging, especially in terms of purity of ceramics, porcelain and non-ferric metals such as lead and aluminum. This is why eliminating non-glass materials is so central to the recycling process. |
