Our flagship optimisation approach Biogas OptimizerTM was selected as the top Swedish Clean Tech innovation of the year in 2007 for its ability to both accelerate and improve the stability of biogas processes. Biogas OptimizerTM was subsequently commercially launched in 2008 along with a portfolio of services for both customers and partners.
An optimised design will help to remove bottlenecks that may inhibit a process from operating at 100% of its designed capacity. Bioprocess Control can play a key role at this stage, assisting designers and builders with ensuring that a new biogas plant or plant undergoing expansion or retrofitting is optimally designed from a process control standpoint.
Once a plant has been built, we recognise the need to provide support to operators for ensuring that a biogas plant is always operated as close as possible to its designed capacity. This is the foundation of our business, as well as our product and service portfolio, and it is here where an operator is able to experience the true benefits of Biogas OptimizerTM.
Vision
To become a global leader in providing technologies and services that support the efficient design and operation of biogas plants & processes, thereby helping to bring efficient biogas production to the masses.
In addition to operating a state-of-the-art research and development laboratory, Bioprocess Control through an expanding network of academic, research and industry advisors is able to keep abreast of the latest technological developments in our business area. This unique position allows us to take a leadership role as a driver of innovation.
This research and development focus has resulted in a pipeline of innovative technologies that will further enhance the performance of our current product/service portfolio and provide further value for our customers and partners in the years to come. This will allow for Bioprocess Control to become a leader in both the development and commercialisation of technologies to optimise the production of biogas.

Automatic Methane Potential Test System (AMPTS) IIBioprocess Control’s Automatic Methane Potential Test System (AMPTS) II allows users to determine the true methane potential and dynamic degradation profile of any substrate. This in turn will allow users to more easily determine the optimal retention time and mix of substrates for co-digesting, screen proper pre-treatment methods, and evaluate the need for additives. |

Customisation of Biogas Optimizer™ ServicesBioprocess Control can upon request customise any specific Biogas OptimizerTM module to meet the specific needs of a biogas operator. This can be done in connection with the annual performance review, any application upgrade or at any time during the license period. |

Substrate Analysis ServicesThe Substrate Analysis service can be carried out on an existing substrate or a new substrate that a designer or operator wishes to assess. This service focuses on better understanding the dynamic characteristics of a substrate during its degradation, and thus provides insight regarding the optimum retention time and mixture of substrates for maximising reactor utilisation and profits. The service can also be used to evaluate the effect of pre-treatment ... |
