BLAINE TECH is a purpose-built company that focuses exclusively on providing groundwater monitoring and related field services. Since our inception in 1985, we have systematically identified and addressed the variables that make field sampling difficult, costly and inconsistent.
Intentionally limiting our range of services to environmental sampling has enabled us to serve a broad client base of consultants, corporations and government institutions. The current era of UST regulation began with the public outcry and press coverage surrounding the 1981 revelation that waste solvents from the Fairchild semiconductor plant were being distributed to an entire suburban community by the local water company. Groundwater monitoring expenence on this Silicon Valley project became the foundation for Blaine Tech Services which began operations in 1985.
Initial operations included both UST removal sampling and groundwater monitoring. By the the early 1990's. groundwater monitoring for environmental consultants, corporations and government agencies had become our main focus.
Throughout the 1990's. there was an ongoing proliferation of environmental investigations. Thousands of new monitoring wells were installed. Blaine Tech Services increased its groundwater sampling capabilities to meet that demand.
Today, Blaine Tech Services maintains offices in San Jose, Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Diego and Seattle and provides specialized environmental sampling services throughout California and neighboring states.

This position requires a good driving record verified by a recent printout from the DMV. Since sampling Is performed at 'safety sensitive' sites, prospective employees must undergo background checks and drug screening.
Science and Environmental Studies degrees are desirable, and an OSHA40 Hour HAZWOPER training certificate Is a plus. However, persons with outdoor work experience and a strong desire to perform technical work in the environmental field may also apply.
Field positions are Full Time. Regular work schedule Is four 10-hour days per week, and overnight travel may be required. Benefits Package includes health insurance and a 401K plan.
