Environmental Systems and Composites Incorporated (ESC Corp) started as Hippco in the gas and liquid phase purification industry in 1979, using activated carbon for remediation technologies. Today, ESC is still using some of the original principles to improve our environment and increase the return on investment for our customers.
ESC Corp, has provided turn-key solutions for customers in the biogas recovery to energy market with many of the same chemistry used in the 1980’s. These technologies provide reliable, cost effective solutions to the needs of the industry.
Today, ESC Corp is involved in the design, engineering, construction, and installation of equipment manufactured from fiberglass, carbon steel, and stainless steel. We are expanding once again into the emerging technology of purifying biogas from landfills and municipal anaerobic digesters. The low British Thermal Unit (BTU) methane from renewable sources contains chemicals that are detrimental to power generation equipment, and requires removal for long-term economical operation. Our team has undertaken several projects for removal of both hydrogen sulfide and siloxanes, the two most prevalent contaminants in biogas.
The good news is that concurrently with the conventional treatment systems, ESC Corp has developed several patented technology breakthroughs that impact the status quo in the biogas to energy market.
