Genesys International Ltd was founded in June 2001 by Ted Darton and Ursula Annunziata. Both were already well known in the chemical and membrane industries for their involvement in establishing Houseman's PermaCare reverse osmosis (RO) brand.
The Genesys family started with a joint venture with Genesys Membrane Products in Spain, where a membrane autopsy and research laboratory was already established. The company continues to grow in response to increasing demand for our products and services. We now have over 40 distributors worldwide, covering Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North and South America.
We manufacture our own range of speciality RO membrane chemicals at our new facility in Cheshire, UK. These include antiscalants, flocculants, biocides and cleaning chemicals.
We're constantly carrying out pioneering research, to come up with the best possible formulations and techniques. Recent innovations have included
We specialise in producing chemicals that allow reverse osmosis (RO) plants to operate efficiently in areas where feed waters are challenging. This might include high levels of silica, phosphate or sulphate. We've also developed products that take into account the different size and configuration of membrane plants.
Genesys Manufacturing Limited was established in 2007 in Winsford, Cheshire, to optimise our chemical manufacturing and quality control. Due to rapid international growth we moved to our current, larger factory in Middlewich in 2009.
All Genesys products are manufactured here in the UK to ISO 9001 quality standard. Our new manufacturing facility includes large liquid and powder blending vessels and a quality control laboratory to support the production process. Our senior research chemist, Max Fazel, oversees production testing and the research and development of new products.
We test all our chemicals for compatibility with different manufacturers‘ membranes. Our products have also been granted NSF (National Food Safety, US) and DWI (Drinking Water Inspectorate, UK) approval for use in producing safe drinking water.
We operate a strict health and safety management system and comply with all the REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & restriction of CHemicals) safety requirements. We're always looking for ways to improve our working practices. For example we've recently installed a specially designed ramp to facilitate safe and efficient loading of full container loads, which now account for over half our product deliveries.

Genesol - 40 - Alkaline CleanerGenesol 40 has been developed as a general-purpose membrane cleaner effective against organic based foulants typically found in Reverse Osmosis and Nano-filtration membrane systems. Genesol 40 has been approved for use in drinking water applications. |

Genesys - LS - Antiscalant For Sea-water SystemsGenesys LS has been developed as a general purpose antiscalant for use in sea-water Reverse Osmosis and Nano-Filtration systems. By inhibiting all scaling species, Genesys LS allows systems to be designed and operated at high rates of recovery. Significant capital and operational cost savings can be made by reducing the amount of feed water used and concentrate to be discharged. |

Cleaning Programme Design For Laboratory ServiceMembrane replacement cost are a significant factor in long term operational expenditure, any increase in membrane life is a welcome addition to a chemical treatment regime. Freuent poorly controlled cleaning preocedures can result in membrane damage with a consequent deterioration in performance. Taking into account lost production and input of man hours membrane cleaning can become an expensive process. |

Membrane Autopsy For Laboratory ServiceThe Genesys Membrane Laboratories in Madrid, Spain, provide a range of services specifically designed to identify the causes of membrane failure in reverse osmosis (RO), nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF) plants. |

Membrane Master Scaling Prediction ProgramMembrane Master is the world's foremost scaling prediction program and the result of many years of development. Just enter project details, operational data and a detailed water analysis and Membrane Master will automatically calculate the Langelier Saturation Index and the most effective antiscalant as well as the recommended dosage. |
