Busch Systems originated from a vision. Following the introduction of the first curbside recycling program in Kitchener, Ontario in 1981, Craig Busch recognized the program could be improved. That program originally used oversized industrial collection carts throughout residential communities to collect recyclables. Craig founded Busch Systems, a small, ambitious company which sought to change the way we look at recycling by making recycling simple for everyone. By introducing lightweight, durable recycling bins, Busch Systems set out to change the world.

Over 25 years later, Busch Systems now develops more new molded recycling, waste and compost containers than all other manufacturers combined. Several companies have attempted to capitalize on the inventions and innovations patented by Busch Systems. What has not been duplicated is the fact that Busch Systems is a company founded on environmentally-friendly products made in North America with recycled content and are 100% recyclable, thus reducing our carbon footprint. Furthermore, Busch Systems is made up of a passionate, dedicated group of people who care about the world in which they live.
