Al-jon is a family owned and operated manufacturing facility that has been supplying the Scrap, Auto Dismantling and Solid Waste industry since 1963.
Over 40 years ago, the first machine rolled out of the Al-jon factory. Since then our motto has remained the same… Keeping it Simple, Building it Strong, words we at Al-jon live by every day.
At Al-jon, we are proud people, proud of our machines and confident that you will be as well. Al-jon machines are purpose-built for their application, allowing us to deliver to you the right machine for the job.
Al-jon is small enough to listen to your ideas for product improvement, yet large enough to provide after-the-sale service and support at levels companies larger than Al-jon cannot match.
Thank you for taking the time to study our product line and learn more about Al-jon. We invite you to visit our newly remodeled manufacturing plant. You will see we build what we sell and we build the very best we can.
A few of the facts about Al-jon:
Al-jon has been Supplying the Scrap, Auto Dismantling and Solid Waste Industries since 1963.
Many Al-jon products have come about by having close communication with our customers. This practice has been in place since Jon Kneen (pictured bottom left) founded the company with chief engineer and principal designer Allen Sharp (pictured top left) over 41 years ago. “Al-jon has been able to strengthen our customer base from the Scrap and Solid Waste industries by listening to our customers.” says Jon.
By the time Kendig, Jon’s son, joined Al-jon in 1984, the company produced the #20 Car Crusher, the 550 Shear Baler, the 400 Log Baler, a 1100 Hydrostatic Loader, a wheel crusher, tire processing equipment and large stationary shears.
Over the years, Al-jon has focused on our core products including portable scrap processing equipment and solid waste compactors. At Al-jon, it is important to us that we design, build and service our own equipment and we do it all right here in the United States.
Al-jon has long adopted our engineering philosophy and slogan of “Keeping it Simple. Building it Strong.”. Our primary goal is to keep our customers equipment running. Al-jon is committed to listening to your needs and producing “State of the Art” equipment, keeping it simple to operate and building it strong to last, so our customers can be profitable and successful.
Unlike our competitors, Al-jon is not a manufacturing company that builds everything from lawn mowers to articulating trucks. Al-jon specializes in the design and manufacture of Landfill Compactors, Balers and Car Crushers.
Al-jon values close working relationships with our customers who provide us with input to allow us to continuously upgrade our products and services.
Al-jon uses a factory direct sales approach, which allows our customers to communicate with all Al-jon staff on a very personal level. Al-jon builds what we sell and we build it the best we know how, right in the “Heartland” of the USA.
