Finnish top-level cleantech know-how
PAC–Solution Ltd. aims at developing technology, which enables intensifying the water circulation, destroying microbes that are dangerous to health, and creating more sustainable and energy-efficient solutions. The PACS system has been created to fulfil the need for cost-effective and fast water purification.
John Nurminen Oy is capital investor and shareholder of PAC-Solution Ltd., investing in the international expansion potential of the company’s unique solution for waste and utility water purification.
The company promotes sustainable development and develops individually tailored and responsible complete solutions for environmental problems and improves the level of water safety at a global level.
Fresh water is a necessary element of life, but its share of the world’s water resources is only 3%. The same water has been in use and circulating in our water systems for millions of years. Water vapor condenses as clouds and rains down to the ground, flows then along the rivers to larger water areas, and in time goes back to the atmosphere. Part of the rainwater is absorbed to the ground and is filtered into groundwater.
Only one per cent of fresh water is located in places where it can be easily utilised, such as lakes and rivers, which are often places where water is taken for municipal use. Raw water is led to a water treatment plant, where it is purified and delivered to consumers. From consumers and industry the water is transferred back to wastewater treatment plants and after undergoing the treatment process, it will come again a part of the natural circle of life.
Insufficient wastewater purification, groundwater pollution and other environmental load have led to problems with the cleanliness and usability of water. Since there is not – even for the time being – enough water for everyone, it is important to take care of the water by using the best possible technology. PAC–Solution aims at keeping the quality of water at a high level and drinkable and to ensure the sufficiency of usable water in the future as well.

Sludge DisinfectionThe bacterial content of non-disinfected sludge is very high. The two-stage disinfection performed with the PACS system decreases the bacterial content of the sludge from several millions to less than hundred. This provides new possibilities for utilising the sludge produced in wastewater purification for fertilizing purposes or for energy production. |

Recovery of Natural WatersThe recovery of natural waters is a long-term process that helps the natural waters to cope with oxygen-free spaces. Bacteria and microbes that are harmful for the environment and human health prosper in oxygen-free spaces and promote the pollution of water system. |
