The passion for innovation has always been the driving force behind the Pieralisi Group.
This is just as true today as at the outset when Adeodato Pieralisi set up his first workshop
in the small town of Monsano in 1888, the start of this family-run manufacturing business.

From the post-war period onwards, the Group’s main plant in Jesi has specialised in olive
oil machinery. In the 1960’s, Pieralisi revolutionised traditional olive oil extraction systems,
conquering domestic and international markets with the first decanter for olive-oil
continuous processing.

Starting in the 1970’s, Pieralisi moved into new sectors of the market. The Group’s large
experience and know-how in the olive oil sector led Pieralisi to offer centrifugal force as a
rational solution to production processes in a wide range of food-processing and industrial
sectors. The Group’s success was so rapid that, in just a few years, it established itself as
the world’s leader company in centrifugation.

Today the Pieralisi Group is an integrated business system oriented towards the global
market, with a great capacity for innovation.

The Group includes nine foreign-based companies, strategically located in Spain, Greece,
Germany, Netherlands, Brazil, Argentina, China, the United States and Tunisia. Working in
synergy with the headquarters in Jesi, they generate turnover in excess of Euro 180
million, with a workforce of over 650 people.

Thanks to its widespread network of agents, service centres and spare-parts stores,
Pieralisi is truly worldwide and close to its over 25,000 customers, with its specific knowhow
for every specific market, country and sector of operation.

Pieralisi’s constant commitment to research and development of advanced technologies
has meant that the Group is now the indisputable leader in providing avant-garde
separation solutions through centrifugal force.

Great attention to the needs of a wide-ranging international customer base has led the
Pieralisi Group to dedicate human resources and specific technology to the needs of each
and every customer.

To this aim, the Group has adopted a business organisation based on two large divisions:
the Olive Oil Division and the Separation Solutions Division.

The key to Pieralisi’s success in the olive oil sector is the continual testing of innovative
high-tech solutions aimed at increasing customers’ olive oil yield and quality.

This commitment dates back to Pieralisi’s introduction of the first continuous-processing
decanter that revolutionised the olive oil extraction process.

Still today the Group provides the olive oil extraction industry with modern plants that are
automatically able to handle all processing stages and to keep track of all data for
complete traceability of the product.

The Pieralisi Group provides solutions to all technological problems of solid-liquid and
solid-liquid-liquid separation, thanks to the great experience and know-how developed
over time in the most important industrial centrifuge markets.

Pieralisi decanters and vertical centrifuges with a wide variety of capacities are suitable for
a vast range of application areas, such as:

Environmental Area, where the Pieralisi Group provides state-of-the-art solutions to
municipal and industrial waste water treatment and disposal. The Group also operates in
the field of thermal sludge drying.

Chemical Area, in which Pieralisi operates in production processes involving intermediate
or end products and integrated environmental processes, in processes within HDPE, PVC
and PP polymer production. In addition, the Group is also involved in production processes
for the pharmaceutical and biotech sector, as well as in the production of ores and
minerals. Moreover, Pieralisi operates in the energy production sector, more specifically in
production processes for non-fossil fuels, such as biodiesel and ethanol.

Recycling Area, where the Group is involved in treatment processes for industrial fluids
and drilling mud, in the recycling of polymers and their respective recyclables, as well as in
water recycling, and so on.

Oleo-chemical Area, in which Pieralisi operates in production processes for
oleochemistry derivates and in the refining process for edible vegetable oils, excluding
olive oil.

Mineral- Fuel and Lube Oils Area, where the Group is involved in the purification and
conditioning of fuels, in the purification of lube oils, in the processing and treatment of
mineral and fuel oils, in the treatment of slop-oils from refineries and lagoons, of slops from
lube oils, of bilge water, etc.

Animal-Based Products Area, in which Pieralisi operates in the treatment of by-products
from the fish-processing and meat-processing industries.

Food and Beverage Production Area, where the Group is involved in the processing and recovery of
non-liquid food products, in the processing of fruit and vegetable juices, in wine and sugar processing, in the recycling of food-related products.

In order to guarantee customers high quality products and services, the Pieralisi Group
has provided its companies with a Quality Control system inspired by the UNI EN ISO
9004 standards and has certified them in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 9001
standards.

As far as the products are concerned, the Group has recently obtained quality certification
for equipment destined for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, in accordance with
the new ATEX 94/9/CE European directive. This comes in addition to the SOA certification
for design and construction in the OS22 categories (water treatment and purification).

Pieralisi offers its customers complete consulting services and accompanies them during
all stages of their contact with the Group.

Sales personnel assist customers in the choice of the most suitable machines and plants
for their needs, provide full and helpful information about the products and technology
employed, prepare personalised plant layouts.

More than 130 specialized Pieralisi technicians ensure that after-sales service is fast and
efficient, from installation, through testing and inspection, to later scheduled maintenance,
according to plant characteristics and customers’ requirements.

In addition, the marketing department periodically organises technical and scientific
conferences, refresher courses and meetings with customers, providing in-depth
explanations of technical aspects, norms, management approaches and marketing
aspects specific to each business sector.
