RNAS was founded in 1998 as a bioremediation consulting company. Our experience led us to practical solutions for successful enhanced bioremediation. To avoid potential conflicts of interest with our consultant clients, RNAS now focuses exclusively on providing high quality bioremediation products. RNAS was the first company to manufacture an off-the-shelf emulsified vegetable oil for bioremediation. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing methods (US Patent 6,806,078) produce kinetically stable emulsions with the smallest sub-micron oil droplets in the industry. Since the first injection in March of 2002, millions of pounds of Newman Zone® have been successfully applied at hundreds of sites world-wide. For aerobic remediation RNAS provides the low-cost, low-maintenance oxygenation system O2Zone® (US Patent 6,561,497). Neutral Zone®, an insoluble colloidal buffer, is also now available to address low pH at bioremediation sites or sites where pH is the primary contaminant.

FEATURED PRODUCTS

FEATURED PRODUCTS

Neutral Zone® - Insoluble Colloidal Buffer

Neutral Zone® - Insoluble Colloidal Buffer

Neutral Zone® (patent pending) consists of colloidal buffering solids suspended in water.  The solids can be moved through an aquifer by the higher velocities during injection, but become immobile under ambient flow conditions.  The retained buffer is designed to maintain a higher pH for months to years.

NewmanZone® - Line of Vegetable Oil Emulsion Products

Newman Zone® (US Patent 6,806,078) combines fast-release slow-release electron donors designed to enhance in-situ bioremediation of chlorinated solvents and other anaerobically degradable contaminants (certain toxic metals, perchlorate, and nitrate).  Fermentation of the vegetable oil may support anaerobic biodegradation for as long as five years after injection.

Expedited Transportation

Our transportation expediters will find the lowest shipping costs from our warehouse to your site.  Because we maintain an inventory of Newman Zone®, we can ship the day after we receive your order.  However, shipping rates will be significantly lower if you give us 1-2 weeks lead time.  Transportation of very large orders will be coordinated with our manufacturing schedule and will require a longer lead-time.
