History
Severn Trent Services is a member of the Severn Trent Plc group of companies. Severn Trent was formed in 1974 as a regional, state-owned water authority in the UK’s Midlands region. The company is responsible for water management and supply, and wastewater treatment and disposal, in the catchment areas of two of Britain's greatest rivers — the Severn and the Trent — from which the company adopted its name.

Following privatization by the UK government in 1989, Severn Trent set out on a path to build a products and services business which involved acquisitions in the US and UK, beginning with the acquisition of Capital Controls Company in 1990. Since that time, Severn Trent has built a comprehensive portfolio of products designed to treat, deliver and protect our valuable water resources.

Corporate Responsibility

At Severn Trent Services, our purpose is to be trusted as leading experts in water. We endeavor always to deliver solutions that are right for our customers and the environment. We strive to build long-term relationships by understanding and acting on our customers’ needs, delivering value and behaving with integrity in everything we do.

Every employee of Severn Trent Services works continuously to build corporate responsibility into our day-to-day business. FEATURED APPLICATIONS

Water treatment for power plants

The process of electricity generation from fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas is water-intensive. Between 40-50% of all water abstracted and used in developed countries is used in the generation of electricity. Water supplies are required to provide various process waters for the following essential main purposes such as make-up water, cooling water for steam turbine...

Water treatment for the pulp and paper industry

Pulp and paper processes use a large amount of water that must be treated for production and reclaimation purposes. Effectively treating water from these processes ensures the disinfection of microorganisms that would otherwise breed in the environment and affect product quality and quantity.
