Tanknology Canada Inc. dedicates its resources to precision testing and evaluation of underground and aboveground storage tank systems throughout Canada. Leaking tanks threaten groundwater quality and create health and other hazards. A Canadian owned company, Tanknology originated as a joint project between a major Canadian oil company and the Federal Government to develop a convenient and inexpensive leak test for storage tanks that was not affected by the limitations of existing technologies. The inventor, Edwin Adams, of Edmonton, Alberta, developed a system which quickly became the industry standard for precision and convenience. Mr. Adams` system is now the most widely-used testing method around the world.

Precision Line Leak Detection

Tanknology Canada's precision line leak testing technology is Underwriter's Laboratories of Canada (ULC) approved. This third party approval indicates that the technology is capable of level one leak detection. The system is used to test product delivery lines associated with storage tank systems. When administered by Tanknology's trained technicians it is the most effective way to detect even very small leaks. The system is based on the simple principle ...

VACUTECT Storage Tank Testing System

Tanknology's VACUTECT system is the most popular technology in the world for testing the integrity of both underground and above ground storage tank systems. This Canadian system is ULC listed as a precision leak test as well as having a third party EPA approval in the United States. VACUTECT determines the integrity of storage tank systems by monitoring for changes in pressure, sound or water level when a vacuum is created. The greatest advantage of ...

Upstream Services

Tanknology has combined technologies specifically for the Alberta upstream oil industry that enable us to provide conclusive results on the entire tank system in less than thirty minutes. Using the VACUTECT probe to measure for slight changes in the liquid level at the tank bottom, overcomes the major weaknesses of competitor's test systems that rely on sound alone. Our extensive field experience has proven that it is virtually impossible to remove the ...

Calibrations

Mis-calibrated meters have been identified as the most common cause of unexplained product loss. With the introduction of automated temperature compensation the process of calibrating meters has become a very complicated procedure. Tanknology's customized software program walks qualified technicians through a step by step process to assure that the meter and temperature sensors are properly checked and in good working condition.
