Teledyne Advanced Pollution Instrumentation, Inc. (TAPI) is a world leader in the design and manufacture of precision analytical instrumentation for trace gas analysis. Founded in San Diego, California in 1988, TAPI introduced a complete line of Air Quality Monitoring (AQM) instrumentation, which complied with the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) requirements for the measurement of criteria gases consisting of CO, SO2, NOX and Ozone.
Since that time, TAPI has introduced many features to these products and has grown to the position of the leading producer of AQM instrumentation, providing state of the art analytical products on a world wide basis. Our instruments comply with US EPA regulations as well as a number of other international requirements.
TAPI's customer list is a 'Who's Who' of environmental agencies and consultants. Of the four largest automated AQM networks in the world, TAPI instruments can be found in three. TAPI is the product of choice in Mexico City, Malaysia, Thailand, the United Kingdom not to mention many networks in the USA. TAPI instrumentation can be found in over fifty countries and every state in the US. With vast experience in AQM instrumentation, TAPI continues to expand its world market share in the growing environmental markets of China, the Indian sub-continent, and Africa.
The growth of TAPI is due to two primary factors:
1) building quality products and
2) a total dedication to customer service. With a number of strategically-placed facilities dedicated to the support of TAPI products across the globe, the customer is assured that downtime will be kept to a minimum. With excellent service centers and qualified customer support from the factory and field locations, TAPI continues to build its reputation as the customer service leader.
In recent years, TAPI has expanded their scope of products beyond the AQM market. Utilizing the same principles of measurement, the same dedication to customer service and a strong technical reputation, we have introduced products for the measurement of stack gases and other non-criteria gases.
Our long and successful experience in the measurement of ozone in trace amounts led us to the development of a complete line of Ozone monitors for industrial use, in ranges from parts per billion to percent levels, all designed to meet the customers' particular needs in a variety of applications. TAPI now offers competitive, high performance products for use in applications related to continuous emissions monitoring, semiconductor fabrication, water purification and treatment, clean room monitoring, gas purity and air separation.
All products and accessories produced by TAPI undergo the most stringent quality assurance (QA) testing in the business. Repeated testing at the component, assembly, and instrument levels, assures the customer that they will receive a product which will operate perfectly out of the box and will continue to operate, under the most adverse conditions, for many years.
TAPI products are designed and manufactured with the most comprehensive diagnostic capability in this marketplace and allow easy troubleshooting, maintenance and repair. This is all backed up with a comprehensive warranty on parts and labor, including extended warranties on certain critical parts such as CPUs and gas filter correlation wheels. The TAPI Quality System is certified under ISO 9001.
In October, 2001, the original company -- Advanced Pollution Instrumentation (API) -- merged with Teledyne Instruments to form Teledyne Advanced Pollution Instrumentation, Inc. The merger with Teledyne represents a quantum leap for TAPI in the areas of R & D, distribution and manufacturing capabilities. The complete dedication to customer needs, superior products, and expanded capabilities all serve to insure that TAPI will continue its rapid expansion for the foreseeable future.

Model T300U - Ultra-Sensitive Gas Filter Correlation CO AnalyzerThe Model T300U Ultra-Sensitive CO analyzer has been developed specifically to address the challenges of low level monitoring as required, for example, in the US NCore network. Using IR absorption with a Gas Filter Correlation Wheel, the T300U is designed to allow ultra-sensitive CO measurements while still meeting the requirements for use as a US EPA compliance analyzer. |
