Usable water is the most significant precious resource on earth and is quickly becoming the scarcest. Over the coming decades increased demand for clean water will reach a critical point. Through changing weather patterns, population increases, and new contaminant challenges, the availability of usable clean water will quickly become the most important issue of our time, impacting the global economy in addition to our quality of life.
One aspect that affects our water resources and is in the most need of updating is the wastewater treatment process. Wastewater treatment challenges apply to all industries, public and private national, regional and local in scope.
Upgrades to the wastewater treatment process demand not only technological advances, but improvements in reliability, operational costs, and performance. Ultrasonic Systems USO 3 technology addresses today’s water and waste water treatment challenges.
The USO 3 and USO 2 product line represent a completely new trendsetting family of technologies.
The technology utilizes cavitation paired with the power of an Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP). The cavitation generated through the use of ultrasound causes extremely high local pressures and temperatures without increasing the liquid temperature above ambient level. These local effects result in the breakdown of solids and aid in the efficient use of ozone in the AOP.
Mixing unit OptimiXer
Effective dissolving of gases in liquids results in creating an ideal setting for the AOP to take place.
The OptimiXer is a newly developed system for dissolving gases in liquids significantly optimizing the efficiency and dissolving time.
Ultrasound generators and Piezo-unit
Digital control of the ultrasound with automatic frequency adjustment.
Direct application of the ultrasound into the liquid using piezo-ceramic transducers.
The Ultrasound Unit transfer energy directly to the water at high frequencies with minimal losses and very low power demands.
PC-control
Menu-based software for remote control and operation.
Control of gas injection rates.
Monitoring of wastewater influent/effluent characteristics and flow rates.
Control of ultrasound transducer power levels along with the ability to turn separate stages on/off.
Monitoring of fault signals for effective maintenance. The control system is flexible enough to be implemented into existing plant operations.
