The Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (MIECF) is a high-powered annual platform to promote solutions for a low carbon future, and sustainable urban development for cities. Initiated and actively led by the government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (Macao SAR), the exhibition and conference is strategically positioned to nurture business, technology and information exchange and co-operation between the Pan-Pearl River Delta region in Southern China and the international markets.
MIECF - Its increasing importance to the region
MIECF has been enjoying the special support of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China. MIECF is also co-organized by the provincial / regional governments of the 9+2 region of the Pan Pearl River Delta, namely Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and Hong Kong SAR. The strong support from the provincial governments cements MIECF as the business and networking platform for the move towards sustainable cities in the region and is attested by its continued visitor growth figures.

Green Forum:
Top industry and governmental speakers deliver keynote addresses and presentations in the various breakout sessions addressing today's issues in Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Green Buildings, Water and Waste Management, Financing, Policies and others.
Green Matching
A key feature at MIECF, exhibitors get access to business matching services to meet enterprises in Southern China and international markets. This service assists them to locate potential business partners and to promote their products and services. Based upon the projects, products and services provided and sought by the participants, the business matching service at MIECF assists enterprises to find suitable partners through a dedicated online business matching service platform as well as other on-site activities.
Green Business Co-operation Day:
Discussions, dialogues, negotiations and intense networking is arranged for this day between various trade promotion agencies and chambers of commerce within the region.
Green Gala and Networking Events
Many new contacts and networking take place at the various luncheons, gala dinner as well as conference coffee breaks. Get your chance to be introduced to policymakers, government officials and key decision makers in the industry.
Green Public Day
The final day of the event sees activities catered to the general public to enhance their environmental awareness and education amongst the people of Macao. Seminars, games, tours and other activities help introduce the concept of living in environmentally friendly ways and lowering their carbon footprint.
The Green Business Co-operation Day is embedded in the Green Forum. It will feature panel discussions addressing some topical issues. Meanwhile, it will also provide a platform to foster networking and partnerships between various trade promotion agencies and chambers of commerce within the region.
The main theme of the event is “Low Carbon Urban Development”. Faced with rapid urbanization and the threat of climate change it is essential to prepare towards a low carbon future and sustainable development of cities all over the world and particularly in the densely populated Pan-Pearl River Delta with its 450 million people.

The “Green Showcase” is MIECF’s exhibition component, presenting a wide array of environmentally beneficial and economically sustainable products and solutions, which will involve both local and global eco-maintenance programs, green technologies and technical transfers. Visitors will garner the latest information on energy efficiency, clean energy, green building, green transportation, waste and water management solutions and other related services.
Regional pavilions to be found at the Green Showcase will include: Pan-Pearl River Delta (PPRD), European Union, USA and the International Pavilion. There will be a “Prime Exhibitors” zone featuring leading brands.

Green Matching will assist participating companies to locate the right partners to promote their products and services, and develop business opportunities.
All business projects and intentions will be collected in our online business matching engine and / or other channels enabling you to reach your target partners. You are welcome to apply and register for the free Green Matching service either on the online business matching engine or by filling in the Green Matching Application form. To help industry players to understand Macao’s efforts in environmental protection, a technical visit to Macao’s iconic facilities will be arranged on the last day morning. A city tour will also be organized for international visitors in the afternoon to enjoy some of the interesting sights of nostalgic Macao.
