The 2012 Sustainable Water Management Conference will be a true sustainability conference focused on water resources integration. This conference seeks to combine technical presentations with in-depth discussions on legal, regulatory, and legislative matters facing water utilities today.

A Brief Overview Of The AWWA Conference Process
- The Technical Education Council (TEC) creates the conference
- A planning committee (PC) is then tasked with developing content for the conference.
- A Call for Papers is sent out (Abstract Submissions). The (PC) rates the papers. Rating Criteria (PDF)
- AWWA staff works with the planning committee to organize and finalize the details of the conference.
- Manuscripts and Presentations are gathered to be included into the Conference Proceedings
- The Conference takes place
- The Conference Proceedings are completed and available for purchase. (Qualifying individuals get the Conference Proceedings complimentary)
