Formia Emissions Control Oy will supply Eissmann Group Automotive (www.eissmann.com) two catalytic VOC oxidizers to be located in the automotive interiors production facilities in Nyiregyhaza, Hungary and Münsingen, Germany. This order also includes an option for a delivery of VOC incinerator to one more location in Germany.
The delivery consists of regenerative catalytic VOC oxidizers for purification of low concentration VOC emissions released in the gluing of leather and leather imitation skin on the plastics and polyurethane interior components. At Eissmann’s series production, the VOC gases are collected from each workstation of the assembly lines with an inverted funnel, and are guided into the Formia Smart VOC LVTM oxidizer for purification. This LV (Lean VOC) type oxidizer is especially designed for remarkably energy-efficient oxidation of low VOC concentrations. The first two oxidizers are intended to be operational during second half of 2011, while the option is planned for the end of 2012.
“With this delivery we are strengthening our foothold in Germany as well as in the CEE area. Germany has been very successful in reducing their industrial emissions. Hungary is also enacting regulations and is one of the strongest Eastern European contries implementing industrial environmental legislation”, explains Kari Anttila, the Sales Director of Formia Emissions Control Oy. “Generally taken, there is an increasing demand to control lower concentration VOCs, and that’s where our solutions are top of the industry”, he continues.
