ENERCON President John Richardson said, 'Our New Plant Services Division has opened offices in Europe and the Middle East to respond to the growing demand for superior services in engineering, licensing, operations and outage support. The opening of these two offices focuses resources on developing business in new nuclear power markets in Europe, especially Central Europe, and the Middle East, where a number of countries are looking to develop new nuclear power programs, or expand their existing nuclear power programs in light of the Fukushima accident. Many countries recognize that nuclear power is an essential element in improving energy security and in reducing carbon emissions that can contribute to global warming.'
