Membrane Filtration Solutions to Control Water Costs and Protect the Environment to be Explored
PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Water is used extensively for operations and safety purposes in the burgeoning mining industry. Operators are increasingly choosing membranes to treat water responsibly and ensure that surface and ground water remain pure and uncontaminated by wastewater streams. On June 7thTim Lilley, MSc, vice president – industrial water, will present, “Membrane-based Water and Wastewater Treatment Solutions,” in conjunction with Tetra Tech Inc., a consulting and engineering company. The following day, Luis Escobar-Ferrand, Ph.D., business development manager, mine water systems, and Paul Clayton, director, mine water systems, will present a related topic, “Hollow Fiber Membrane Filtration as Pretreatment for Seawater Desalination.” Simultaneous translation into Spanish and Portuguese will be available. In addition, water solutions experts will showcase membrane technologies and interact with Water in Mining attendees in the Pall booth at the Sheraton Santiago Hotel and Convention Center.
