York, UK Jun. 3, 2009 - Jun. 3, 2009 | Managing REACH: Communication is key
We have designed this workshop to help those people defined as `downstream users` within REACH to understand their communication obligations. A downstream user is anyone who uses a chemical substance, either on its own or in a `preparation` (ie. mixture or solution composed of two or more substances such as paint, ink, cleaning products) in the course of their business activities. Examples of downstream use would be using a chemical to make a product, to clean a floor, to lubricate a machine, to print on packaging (etc, etc.). |
Kraków, Poland Sep. 16, 2009 - Sep. 19, 2009 | 1st Joint PSE-SETAC Conference on Ecotoxicology
The meeting will address different aspects of ecotoxicology, ranging from molecular to ecosystem level. The leading theme of the conference is `Ecotoxicology in the real world`, and thus presentations addressing problems broader than standard ecotoxicological tests are particularly welcome. However, presentations addressing testing toxic chemicals are also welcome, especially if they report on novel methods or emerging problems. |
