More than 8,000 leaders from government, NGOs, business, the UN and the scientific community will come togehter in Barcelona this October at the IUCN World Conservation Congress.

The second international UITP conference on public transport and sustainable development will take place in the Autumn of 2008. The sessions will be clustered under thematic topics and one session will be introduced on the contribution that public transport makes towards regional and national objectives for climate change. It is hoped that the papers will cover a broad international approach to sustainable development in public transport with a focus on examples that have delivered concrete results.
