Wind farm developers and the banks will have an opportunity to start brokering the deals at a forum in the city hosted by Ed Miliband and Chancellor Alistair Darling. Clean energy offers a greater opportunity for wealth and job creation than the advent of computers and the Internet. Continuing decrease in solar module costs and generous feed-in tariff rates are fueling world growth (110% solar PV installations in 2008 compared to 2007). Government subsidies and concerns about future energy prices are sustaining the double-digit growth seen by the geothermal heat pump industry over the past few years.

To learn about project feasibility analysis, register with our Clean Energy Institute for distance learning courses in solar PV and geothermal heat pump (next start date: Nov 16).
