President Obama announces US$467m in funding for geothermal and solar energy projects
President Obama has announced over US$467 million from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act to expand and accelerate the development, deployment, and use of geothermal and solar energy throughout the United States. Neste Oil builds Europe’s largest renewable diesel plant in Rotterdam
Neste Oil has laid the foundation stone for its renewable diesel plant in the Port of Rotterdam. Upon completion, the plant will be the largest renewable diesel plant in Europe with an annual production capacity of 800,000 metric tonnes. The investment cost of the plant is estimated to be €670 million, and it will create over 100 jobs.
