The road to RoHS compliance
Compliance with RoHS depends on many things, like the size of your company or whether you are a manufacturer or importer. Here is some advice on how to go about it. Many companies take enforcement too light-headedly, meaning that the compliance process is too wide and extensive. The CE-marking and other labels will of course contribute to promote brands and products which are performing well in tests. EPA proposes SNURs for carbon nanotubes
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed significant new use rules (SNUR) under Section 5(a)(2) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) for two chemical substances that were the subject of premanufacture notices (PMN). EPA identified the substances generically as multi-walled carbon nanotubes and single-walled carbon nanotubes. According to the notice, these substances are subject to TSCA Section 5(e) consent orders issued by EPA.
