Waste Management proposes aquisition of Republic Services for `US$6.19bn`
Waste Management, Inc. (NYSE:WMI) has announced that it has made a proposal to the Board of Directors of Republic Services, Inc. (NYSE:RSG) (“Republic”) to acquire all of Republic`s outstanding common stock for US$34.00 per share in cash. US energy department faulted for mishandling Hanford nuclear waste
The US Department of Energy doesn`t know enough about the condition and contents of millions of gallons of radioactive and hazardous wastes stored in tanks at its Hanford Site in Washington state to make good decisions about cleanup and costs, according to a new report by Congress`s investigative agency.
