Coca-Cola launches bioplastic PlantBottle
The Coca-Cola Company formally launched its new PlantBottle made from plant matter, announcing that the innovative new bottle is now on the shelves in a number of selected markets. The company said that the PlantBottle was made from a blend of petroleum-based materials and up to 30 per cent plant-based materials sourced from sugar cane and molasses, meaning that unlike many other plant-based plastics it can be processed through existing recycling facilities without contaminating traditional PET plastics. Waste regulations need more reviews by Government, say House of Lords
The House of Lords Merits Committee has criticised the Government, in a damning new report, for failing to examine whether each significant piece of secondary legislation, including waste legislation, is achieving its intended outcome. The Committee examines the merits of any statutory or other legislative instrument which is subject to parliamentary procedure. The new report is entitled What happened next?
