New mattress recycling firm reuses 97 per cent of materials
A mattress recycling firm capable of recycling 97 per cent of the recovered material has begun operating in South London. Matt UK, which is a subsidiary of HTL Recycling and Waste Management Services, extracts the steel springs inside the mattresses and then strips the mattresses separating the material into foam, felt and polyester. The materials are then distributed for recycling.
