The AquaRod has been discontinued and is no longer being sold by Stevens. The AquaRod is an inexpensive, easy to use alternative to pressure sensors, floats and data loggers. Originally developed for the rigors of the U.S. Forest Service the units have no moving parts and are accurate to 1/100th of a foot. Unlike pressure sensors, the AquaRod is freeze tolerant, not susceptible to plugging of the sensing port, and does not require a vent tube to the surface, desiccant bags or drying chemicals. Today it is used extensively by irrigation districts, surface water managers, fisheries biologist and professionals throughout the water industry.
