Clean air technology: Catalytic process

From Clean Air Technology

0.511.522.533.544.55 (0 votes)

In a catalytic process nitrogen oxides or organic pollutants are transferred into harmless components like water vapour, nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Especially coated ceramic elements in honeycomb, plates or carrier material are used as catalyst.

Processes:

  • SCR process for reduction of nitrogen oxides (DeNOx) by dosing of reduction agents such as ammonia or urea solution.
  • Decomposition of hydrocarbons, dioxins and furans by means of an oxidation catalyst at comparably low energy consumption
