For a decade, Vermeer has been providing equipment to the composting market with its extensive tub and horizontal grinder line. Now Vermeer offers compost turner equipment with the elevating face technology to complement our line of grinders — providing customers with a comprehensive line of compost equipment solutions.

The Vermeer CT670 is a pull-type compost turner featuring the patented elevating face technology designed to lift and tumble compost material up the face of the compost turner and discharge at the rear of the machine. This process introduces more oxygen into the compost and helps provide proper aeration of the windrow. This innovative process does not degrade the compost material and helps decrease cycle times.

Capable of turning a compost pile up to 12' (3.7 m) wide and 6' (1.8 m) high in two passes, the CT670 can process up to 2000 cu yd (1529 m3) of compost per hour.

Patented Elevating Face. The elevating face technology has the potential to turn up to 100 percent of the compost pile, from the pad up, on the first pass.

Rear Vanes. Three metal vanes, located at the rear of the elevating face, help direct material flow off the face and back into a windrow. This feature eliminates the need for additional equipment to re-form the windrow after turning.

Self-Contained Engine. A 48-hp (35.8-kW) Cummins Tier 3 4-cylinder diesel engine provides efficient horsepower for the elevating face. The hydraulics required to operate the tongue and face functions are onboard the turner as well.
