Gasmet - DX-4000 - Multicomponent FTIR Gas Analyzer

Gasmet DX4000 is a portable FTIR gas analyzer which is typically used in stack emissions monitoring, comparison measurements, catalytic process control and other applications where multiple gas compounds need to be accurately monitored in hot & humid sample gas. The corrosion resistant sample cell is heated to 180 C, which ensures that the sample stays in gaseous phase even with high concentrations of H2O or corrosive gases.

Gasmet DX4000 comes equipped with easy-to-use Calcmet software, which can display the concentration results in ppm, mg/Nm3 or Vol-%. All measurement data can be stored for further analysis.

Gasmet DX4000 is typically set-up to measure H2O, CO2, CO, NO, NO2, N2O, SO2, NH3, CH4, HCl, HF and different VOC´s. Additional gases can be added without any hardware changes. Measurement ranges can be selected from sub-ppm until vol-% level.

Gasmet DX4000 can be supplied with the Gasmet portable sampling system. This system utilizes hot-and-wet measurement principle (no drying or dilution), which ensures that the analysis is done with a representative sample. The portable sampling unit can be optionally equipped with a ZrO2 sensor for accurate oxygen measurement.

Gasmet DX4000 has received the coveted MCERTS certification for stack emissions monitoring.

GASMET ON-SITE SERIES includes portable multicomponent gas analyzers for demanding applications. The GASMET Dx-4000 incorporates a Fourier Transform Infrared, FTIR spectrometer, a temperature controlled sample cell, and signal processing electronics. The analyzer offers versatility and high performance for all users. The GASMET Dx-4000 is designed for short term on site measurements with wide dynamic ranges. It is an ideal tool to measure trace concentrations of pollutants in wet, corrosive gas streams. The sample cell can be heated up to 180 °C. Sample cell absorption path length is selected according to the application. The GASMET Dx-4000 allows simple calibration using only single component calibration gases. The user can easily configure the analyzer for a new set of compounds.

GASMET Portable Sampling Unit

GASMET Portable Sampling Unit

The Gasmet Portable Sampling Unit has been designed for portable emission monitoring measurements.

The Gasmet Portable Sampling Unit is used for on-site measurements. It can be used for measuring trace concentrations of pollutants in wet, corrosive gas streams. The sample gas can be measured undiluted and without drying since the sample pump, heated filter and valve are located in a module that is heated to 180 ºC. From the Sampling Unit the gases can be directed into Gasmet FTIR gas analyzer.

The Gasmet Portable Sampling Unit includes power connections and temperature controllers for heated lines and heated module. The Gasmet Portable Sampling Unit is connected to an external PC through Gasmet FTIR Gas Analyzer and can be controlled by Calcmet software.

The function of the Portable Sampling Unit is automatic, but sample pump and valve can be controlled also manually.

In the case of a power failure or if the temperature (pump, lines, sample cell) is below setting, the automatic 3-way valve switches sample gas to zero gas to prevent condensation. Sample pump can not be switched on before all temperatures have reached the setting. In addition, the zero calibration of the Gasmet FTIR gas analyser can be done automatically with the Portable Sampling System.

As an option, the sampling unit can be equipped with a sample probe and / or heated lines. The maximum length for the heated line is 19m + 1m with 230 VAC and 9m + 1m with 115 VAC power supply. There is also an optional integrated O2 – sensor that supplements the capabilities of the Gasmet FTIR gas analyzers.

Stack Testing

Stack Testing

Portable Gasmet measuring system is an ideal tool for stack testing. Just a single analyzer can be used to measure almost all criteria pollutants - this saves a lot of time and effort, not to mention the fast setup time and simple operation procedure.

Some key benefits of the Gasmet portable measuring system include:

  • Just one analyser to
    • carry up to the platform
    • operate
    • maintain
  • Very low need for calibrations – no span calibrations needed
  • All measurement data is stored on a computer, allowing full post-measurement processing of the data
  • The same system can be used in many different applications, due to the expandability of the system

The Gasmet portable measuring system:

  • Gasmet Dx-4000 gas analyzer
  • Gasmet portable Sampling Unit
  • Portable Sample Probe
  • Sample Lines

All parts that are in contact with the sample gas are heated to 180oC.
