This detection is based on the property which has the hydrogen sulphide to absorb on a metallic oxide, semi conducting very specific thin film. It acts of a physical absorption, therefore reversible. It is not a question of chemical absorption, consequently, it has neither 'wear there', nor 'consommation' to the significant part.
