Our sturdy metal crushers of the Lindemann ZM series have proved successful for the selective precrushing and recrushing of scrap metal in a number of applications. They provide excellent material disintegration at low specific energy consumption, maximum availability and extreme ease of maintenance, as well as high immunity to solid parts. Our intelligent, cost-effective solutions, wide range of products and many years of experience ensure an efficient and effective crushing process.

Maximum performance by Lindemann’s little ones.

With the development of the Lindemann ZMF Multifrag, even small metal shredders with a drive power of 250 to 750 kW possess technical features that have a positive effect on specific energy consumption, throughput, selective crushing and wear as well as maintenance conditions. The known features of our large machines can now also be found in our small ones.

Common machine features.

• Rotor lifting device:
  To allow better maintenance of the bottom part of the housing, the rotor can be lifted together with the center part of the housing.
• Hydraulic coarse part ejector:
  Solid pieces resistant to crushing are discharged during the crushing process without interruption of the operating process – and all that without crossing the material flow once more.
• Optimal double-grid / anvil combination:
  This design solution reduces power consumption and at the same time increases throughput.
• Special material and air guide:
  This has a positive effect on power consumption and reduces the costs for a dust extraction system to a minimum.

Available as option or standard.

• Hydraulic rotor bearing lock:
  This optional module allows the rotor to make way but not to escape when solid pieces get between rotor and housing bottom. This keeps rotor damage to a minimum. Retrofitting is also possible.
• Special speed control of rotor:
  If the types of processed scraps are subject to frequent change, this optional control allows simple and quick optimization of the degree of fragmentation, with improved material disintegration and reduced wear.
• Electronically controlled water injection:
  We recommend this additional equipment for shredding materials without dust extraction. It reduces 'blue smoke' on oily materials. Retrofitting is possible.
• Successful wear and maintenance concept:
  The costs for service and maintenance are kept to a minimum thanks to the hinged housing parts, Lindemann’s 'long-life caps' used to protect the hammer shafts and rotor disks, the special protection of housing parts that are subject to heavy wear, the design and distribution of wear protection elements, and the design and arrangement of their attachment.
• Hydraulic housing lock:
  This option allows quick and easy hydraulic opening of the center and top part of the housing, either simultaneously or separately. Retrofitting is possible.
• PLC telediagnosis and software updates via teleservice:
  This option provides fast help during operational and fault diagnosis. Our service engineer can solve most electronic and software problems from his office. Improved assignment of the right expert and necessary spare part are also possible for mechanical problems.
