Applications :
Catalytic oxidation and retention of manganese in a granular MnO2 filter bed. A selected natural MnO2, controlled by OTV and the research center, with high % of MnO2 is applied. This selected natural MnO2 is used either as the sole filtering media or in combination with other media (in mixed filter beds or multi-layer filter beds).

Residual manganese level in the effluent less than 5-10 µg/l

Operating principle:

Depending on the plant capacity, filtration can be achieved within an open or pressure filter.

Optimum performance of the filtration process is ensured through regular backwashing with filtered water and air scour, evenly distributed through our proprietary nozzle underdrain.

Each filter is backwashed independently, hence the guarantee of continuous supply.
