Pre-treatment of Raw Water

The PACS system is used in the pre-treatment of raw water for facilitating and intensifying the water purification in water plants. The system effectively destroys harmful microbes; such as fungi, germs, and mould. In addition, the pre-treatment of raw water eliminates odor, flavor and color problems. The integration of the PACS system into the plant significantly reduces the need for chlorine.

The sewage discharge and raw water intake points are sometimes close to each other. Thus the raw water can contain harmful microbes. The PACS liquid is measured accurately and it can be added in several places in the route of raw water intake. The PACS system eliminates harmful bacteria and microbes by penetrating through the cell membrane and destroying them from inside.

The water cleaning process ends at activated carbon filtration. The highly accurate and patented analyzer ensures the accurate dosage of the PACS liquid after the activated carbon filtration as well.

Easily Integrable System

Easily Integrable System

The PACS system has been designed for various targets of use in water purification. It is a comprehensive system that can be easily integrated in operating water plants. It consists of four elements that are data collection sensors, analyzer, monitoring and feed programme, and the PACS liquid.

The PACS system is scalable for daily flow rates from 10,000 to over 1,000,000 cubic metres and the same technical system is suitable for both large and small plants. The problems and needs are evaluated separately for each plant which enables selecting the most suitable solution.

Prior the installation of the PACS system, data concerning the water quality is collected and the target values for purification are set. The real time measuring device feeds the data concerning the water flows to the control device adjusting the amount of the chemical.

The amount of the PACS liquid fed is based on the target value set for purification. Before the purified water leaves the plant it is analysed in order to ensure that the set targets are met and that the optimal operation of the system is maintained.

The control software adjusts the dosage of the liquid in real time on the basis of the data provided by the analyzers. Information from the measurement points and chemical feed are sent both to the monitoring station of the wastewater treatment plant and the PACS remote monitoring station in order to verify the correct operation of the system.
