Over 40,000 Stevens Chart Recorders have been installed and used both as primary and backup instrument for a true real-time water level record. Flow data may also be obtained when it is used with weirs, flumes or where water level is an index of flow.

 The Stevens Type A-04 chart recorder can be easily integrated with electronic data loggers. The Stevens A/F (quadrature) Encoder or Stevens SDI-12 Encoder can easily be attached directly to the Stevens Type A-04. The design of the encoders eliminates any concern over excess torque that may occur with an external sprocket chain driving an encoder. Stevens’ directly attached encoders provide an electronic signal of level for a data logger and/or telemetry modem communications.
