Description:
Are you a Geotechnical Engineer with experience of working offshore on renewable energy or oil and gas projects?
Do you have a BSc, BEng or higher in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering, or equivalent. Post graduate qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or similar?
Have you ever worked on marine engineering projects, such as sea/sand defences, docks or harbours?
Are you chartered or working towards chartered status?
In this role you will lead junior geotechnical engineers and oversee the geotechnical aspects of surveys, construction and installation works.
In the role you will also perform:
• Structural design and analysis of offshore sub-structures with detailed knowledge of design codes and design guidance and the ability to solve demanding technical problems to demonstrate structural integrity.
• Training and mentoring to other staff members.
• Detailed analysis of soil behaviour with the use of relevant geotechnical software for linear and nonlinear analysis.
• Pile driveability assessments.
• The drafting of the technical aspects of Invitation to Tender and contracts.
• The preparation of technical proposals.
German or Spanish language skills are also highly desirable.
In return you will receive a salary from anything up to £70,000 (depending on experience), 10% bonus, offshore allowance, healthcare, life assurance, pension, accident cover, sickness cover, a career path up to senior management and director level.
