My client produces renewable energy plants and solutions for clients across Italy. Their solar division specializes in large photovoltaic power plants and turnkey solutions. They are now looking to expand their sales team by hiring a new manager to pitch their PV solutions to homeowners, businesses and governmental organizations who are looking to power their buildings with solar energy. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced salesperson to join one of Italy’s fastest growing renewable energy companies, with a competitive salary and an excellent commission structure available to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the marketing team to devise sales strategies – if sales targets are consistently exceeded then new strategies for new countries must be considered
Proactively sourcing new business
Pitching the benefits of solar power and convincing the customers to invest in the installation of the projects
Explaining the technical issues behind each installation
Providing market reports for senior management
Candidate Requirements:
The successful candidate must have a proven sales pedigree – 8-10 years of total sales or business development experience is required
No training in photovoltaic technologies will be provided - the successful candidates must have at least 2 years of experience within the solar industry
Engineering work experience is preferred but not essential if you have extensive technological sales experience
The investments tend to range from around €0.5m to €2m in size. This means the customers tend to be managing directors and CEOs. The successful candidate must therefore have experience of dealing with very senior clients
Fluency in Italian
Mobility for frequent travel
