My client is an Asian technology manufacturer, who set up a photovoltaics division at the start of the decade. They have now established a base in Germany, and are looking to hire a technical support manager to assist with pre-sales and post-sales technological issues. This will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work from home and travel across Germany. There are also plans in place to expand this role to evolve, so that the successful candidate can also cover other European countries. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to mix their commercial and technological skill to join one of the biggest names in the solar industry. Key Responsibilities: Assisting in the writing of warranties and technical support guides Assisting the sales team by pitching the features and benefits of products from a technical perspective to clients Providing telephone support for clients having troubleshooting issues with any of the products Travelling to visit clients and providing on-site services to clients having troubleshooting issues Preparing reports for senior management on recurring issues and effective ways to resolve them Candidate Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of direct technical support experience within the solar PV industry A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience A degree in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical engineering Fluency in German and English Mobility for frequent travel Sales experience is preferred but not essential For more information please send a Word copy of your CV to the Environmental team on environmental@selbyjennings.com, call us on 00 44 207 019 4140, or visit www.selbyjennings-solutions.com.
